The 6 days retooling workshopbeing held at the Continuing Agricultural Education Center is one of the activities of a pilot
project being implemented by Oxfam and TUNADO in Imvepi refugee
settlement camp, Arua district. The project is funded by Enabel with
support from the EU and Government of Uganda. Project title:
<Apiculture skilling for youths from refugee and host communities in
Arua District>. Project aims at contributing to the improvement of
economic opportunities and sustainable livelihoods of 350 refugee
youth and host communities in Arua district.
The training focuses on reviewing the application of the national
beekeepers training and extension manual, building trainers’ capacity
in doing needs assessment for trainees, developing lesson plan,
training techniques, training evaluation and providing feedback to
