The Continuing Agriculture Educational Center is hosting a 4days training with 34 participants from first season districts of Oyam, Kole, Nakaseke, Mubende, Kiboga and Isingiro.
Training significance to the participants:
Build the capacity of participants along the value chain to enable the
trickle down of knowledge and skills to farmers.
Training objectives:
To build and strengthen the EAs’ capacity along the value chain so as to be able to help
farmers.
To enlighten the EAs on the SG2000 Models, an implementation approach for 2019-2023
strategy

Village Savings and Credit Association Model
Private Service Provision Model
CATs and Village Agent Model
Share targets for the season and plan accordingly.

Sasakawa Global 2000 (SG2000) is an international non governmental
organization that offers Agricultural extension services along the
value chain (production, post harvest handling and storage, Market
access and business development).
It was founded by Ryoichi Sasakawa, Norman Borlaug and former USA
President, Jimmy Carter in 1986.
Established in 1996 with a major goal of supporting agricultural
development among the rural smallholder farmers (SHFs) in
partnership with the government through the Ministry of Agriculture,
Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF).
